What better way to kick off our annual “State of the Art” weekend than an Art Show Inspired by Music!?!?

Our annual ‘State of the Art’ event has been a LOT of things over the years: a beer collab, a festival, an art show and art showcase as well as an opportunity to Meet the Artists, see their art and support them directly.…and maybe get your hands dirty making some while you’re here! While some things about the event have changed this year, the spirit of celebrating Art and Artists will remain!

In the spirit of this celebration our friend, Local Artist Justin Biff, has created a Multi-Artist Art Show asking a field of over 21 talented Local Artists to showcase how Music has inspired their Art. If you know Mikerphone, chances are you’ve seen Biff’s work before as he’s lent his talents to us before designing beer labels, T-shirts and was a part of our ‘Artist of the Month’ showcase. Justin’s art is compelling for several reasons: the contrast between being intricate, unique and personal within well-known cult characters and images from 80s and 90s pop culture among them. Often putting his own heart and passion into characters we all know, reimagining them for all of us….pretty cool!

Another one of Justin’s many talents lies in recruiting other artists and giving Other Artist’s Art time and space to shine! He’s put on a number of shows around Chicagoland and we’re SUPER excited that he’s put this one together for Mikerphone! He’s curated a roster of super talented artists to create original, one of a kind artwork for this event. Art Inspired by Music at a Brewery Inspired by Music? Sounds like a home run!
